ABOUT CHINA
China, officially the People’s Republic of China, is a country in East Asia and the world’s most populous country, with a population of around 1.404 billion. Covering approximately 9,600,000 square kilometers, it is the third- or fourth-largest country by total area.
Currently, China is one of the fastest growing economies of the world in terms of GDP and Purchasing Power Parity. Also China is the largest importer and exporter of goods in the world. The country is a recognized country for nuclear weapons and has the world’s largest standing army and second-largest defense budget.

Around 48 medical universities in China are recognized by the Medical Council of India(MCI). The students pursuing their MBBS from China are taught Mandarin from the very first year of the course which helps them to easily interact with the patients. The language of teaching is English. Some of the medical universities also offer internships.

1-Anhui Medical University
There are 16,673 students at the university, of whom 179 are enrolled in doctoral programs, 2,728 in master’s programs, and 8,867 in undergraduate programs, plus 95 international students (including those from Hong Kong and Macao) and 7,187 students enrolled in the School of Extended Education.
2- Capital State Medical University
Capital Medical University (CMU) was founded in 1960, with the original name of Beijing Second Medical College . It ranks among the top academic medical institutions in China and is considered as one of the key municipal universities in Beijing. The founding president, Professor Wu Jieping, was a world-renowned urologist, member of both the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering. The current president is Professor Lu Zhaofeng.
CMU consists of 10 Schools, 14 affiliated hospitals and 1 teaching institution. The university and the affiliated hospitals have a staff of about 20,000. Among the staff, there are 6 members of the Chinese Academy of Sciences or the Chinese Academy of Engineering, over 1,000 professors, and over 2,000 associate professors. The university has over 9,000 enrolled students. CMU provides a wide range of educational programs for Doctorates, Masters, Bachelors and certificates.
The faculty physicians at CMU train annually several thousands of clinical residents and fellows. Also, the faculty members also provide continuous medical education to physicians and other health professionals through seminars, teaching rounds, and tutorials on and off campus. Over the years, the university has graduated a large number of academic leaders and general practitioners for Beijing and the whole country.
3- Dalian Medical University
Dalian Medical University is a university in Dalian, Liaoning, China under the provincial government. It was founded in 1947 in the southern part of Dalian city, China by Mao Zedong.
4- Fujian Medical University
Fujian Medical University is a university situated in Fuzhou, Fujian, China. Founded in 1937, Fujian Medical University is the precursor of Fujian Provincial Medical Vocational School. In 1939,the school was renamed as Fujian Provincial Medical College. Later, the name of the medical school was changed into Fujian Medical College in 1949. The name of the school was changed back to Fujian Medical College in 1982 and then changed back to the present name in April 1996.
5- Guangzhou Medical University
uangzhou Medical University is located in Guangzhou which is the third largest port city in China. Initially, after its establishment in 1958, the university was known as Guangzhou Medical College. Guangzhou Medical University now comprises of four campuses. The main Campus is located in Dongfeng Road West and the other three campuses are in Longdong, Haizhu and Jianggao.
GMU faces 31 provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Chinese central government, Hong Kong and Macao regions to recruit 1,500 undergraduates and 550 postgraduates (master and doctors) in each year. There are 23300 full-time students, including 10000 undergraduates, 1300 graduates, and 12000 continuing educational students.
