ABOUT RUSSIA

1- Kazan state medical University

As per the Academic Ranking of World Universities (European Standard ARES-2014), KSMU has secured the third place among the top Medical Universities in Russia by the European Scientific-Industrial Chamber. The University belongs to the system of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Ministry of Health of Russia and it functions at the groundwork of self-governance.

2- Perm State Medical University

Perm State University was founded on 14 October 1916. Its origins lie in the opening of a branch of St. Petersburg University in the city of Perm. This decision of the Russian government was in tune with the strategy of the cultural and geopolitical development of the Urals economic region. 3- Orenburg State Medical University

The university was founded in 1955 as a branch of Kuibyshev Polytechnic Institute.

In 1971, it converted into Orenburg Polytechnic Institute. In 1994, it became Orenburg State Technical University. In 1996, converted into Orenburg State University.

4- Mari State University

Mari State University was founded in 1972 in Yoshkar-OlaMari El Republic. Mari State University consists of 6 faculties and 6 institutes that train well-educated specialists for most sectors of the Russian national economy. Mari State University is one of the five founder members of the International Association of Finno-Ugric universities, one of the forty-one members of Russia’s Association of Classical Universities. Classes are taken in Russian medium and English medium.

The history of the Tver State Medical Academy opens up in 1902 when the courses for dental students were arranged.

6- Kursk State Medical University

Kursk State Medical University is a Russian medical university located in Kursk, western Russia, established in 1935. In 1994 it was granted university status.

The decision to create a medical institute was taken in 1935, and the first class of students began their studies in September of that year. The construction of the university buildings was not finished until 1940, which is also when the first group of medical doctors graduated.

Between December 1941 and January 1944, the institute was evacuated to Alma-Ata and formed part of the Kazakh Medical Institute. The institute was re-opened in 1944.

7- Northern State Medical University

The Northern State Medical University was founded in the year 1936 and it is situated in Arkhangelsk. The University is the center of the Medical education in North of Russia. NSMU is authorized by World Health Organization (WHO), ECFMG (USA), and Medical Council of India (MCI). The students are eligible for MCI, USMLE (USA) or PLAB (UK) exams after completing their studies from NSMU.

8- Bashkir State Medical University

Bashkir State Medical University is one of the top Universities of Russia to study medicine. It is considered to be the center of medical and pharmaceutical science of Bashkortostan Republic. This University is located in the Ufa City.
